    Exercise: Eastern Shield - first PSI exercise in the Black Sea 

     

    Time:  29-31 October 2007

     

    Place: Odessa, Ukraine

     

    Scope: ground, air and maritime

     

    Participants: Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova and Romania

     

    Observers: representatives from 27 states.

     

    Aim: improvement of regional cooperation procedures in the sphere of countering WMD proliferation.

     

    Course of action: stoping of illegal materials at the ground border point, at the airport and in the port of Odessa.
